Austin 7 Club Rally

Sunday 2ndnd October 2016 was a memorable day in our annual calendar of events when we hosted the annual rally of the Austin 7 Car Club.

Schramm's Cottage provided the perfect setting for such an event and members of the club started arriving from 10am to line up their vehicles on the grassed area beside the cottage.

These were later judged by club members according to specified categories and the winners of each section announced later in the day.

We were fortunate to have fine weather on the day and members of the club enjoyed meeting and talking with our members about the history of the district and looking through the precinct.

These small vintage vehicles in various shapes and sizes and dating from the 1920's are the pride and joy of their owners and provided a colourful spectacle on the day. Most have been painstakingly restored over the years.

Sincere thanks to those of our members who assisted on the day and beforehand in setting out tables and chairs and amplification facilities and for being there to welcome and talk with our visitors, most of whom had not previously visited Schramm's Cottage. Your support did much to promote the standing of our society in the community.
