Re no. 9 Homestead Road, Wonga Park.
We have looked into this matter and the only reference that we have to Homestead Road is in the Wonga Park Heritage Study Report on Stages 1 and 2 published in 1996, a copy of which is in our Members Library.
Number 9 Homestead Road was apparently not deemed worthy of inclusion.
However, number 12 Homestead Road is included and was once part of a large estate (3368 acres) which apparently was subdivided in or about 1900 by the Wonga Park Land Company (see separate email).
Further particulars apparently can be found in a publication called Border Country, page 33. DTHS does not have a copy but no doubt the State Library of Victoria has.
