  • [1] Isabella Sarah Neal wife of Walter Neal who died at Doncaster on 8 August 1911 aged 53 years 
  • [2] James Mays who died at Doncaster on 16 August 1911 aged 75 years 
    • Other Information: James Mays, referred to above, was an orchardist in Blackburn Road, Doncaster, was a son of James Mays Senior and his wife Annie who settled in East Doncaster in 1853.  The informant for James Mays’ details was J.L.[?] Britt, grandson, living in Blackburn Road, Doncaster East.
    • James Mays was married at Heidelberg at the age of 21 years to Ellen May Pickering and they had six children. It is assumed that Ellen May Pickering was one of the daughters of Joseph Pickering, a near neighbor of James Mays.

Ellen Pickering (m. Mays), who died in 1916, was the sister of Kate Pickering (m. Max Schramm).  the funeral account was found, with other documents, in an old desk and given to DTHS by Brian Mullens. Text: Established 1859?.  13 Cotham Road, Kew. 546 Burwood Road, hawthorn And Whitehorse Road, Box Hill.  Telephones 31 Hawthorn Ex?. 216 Canterbury Ex?.  November 1916.  Mr Smedley Co. A.W. Padbury. Undertaker. October 20.  To funeral late Ellen Mary Mays. To Coffin covered Cloth, Mounted, Lined &c. Hearse & Coach. I Funeral Notice.  11-5-0. No63. Received Nov 11 1916 the sum of Eleven pounds five shillings & - pence by cheque. A.W. Padbury with thanks.  11-5-0
